  Are You Tired Today? Minimize

I'm tired.  I had a long week last week and a long day yesterday.  I know, I know - quit complaining!  I only bring this up because I of something I read in Isaiah 40:27-31.

27: Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel, "My way is hidden from the LORD, And the justice due me escapes the notice of my God"?

It's easy to feel this way.  It's easy to think God doesn't notice us when we sin.  We are so small.  There are so many people in the world.  Surely we don't stand out.  Surely God doesn't notice our insignificant lives.  Maybe I'll just get away with everything...

28: Do you not know?  Have you not heard?  The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired.  His understanding is inscrutable.
29: He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power.

I need to remember God is always working, always watching, and he DOES notice me.  He notices every wicked person and every faithful person.  His understanding is inscrutable, which means we cannot scrutinize (see, understand, fathom) it.  We might get tired of doing good works...God knows.  But God never gets tired, and He gives strength when we are at our wit's end.

30: Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly,
31: Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

Who is tired today among God's people?  Look to our Lord and Creator for strength, because He gives it to the young and the old alike.  We CAN do God's work.  We will get tired, but God will supply the energy to move forward.

Who is wrestling with sin among God's people?  Again, we must look to the Lord for our strength.  We CANNOT overcome sin and Satan by our own power.  We must have God's strength.  If we love Him and trust Him and Surrender to Him, God will give us the strength to OVERCOME our sin!  We can do it - with God's help.  :-)

God bless,
Nathan
